While you need money to live and a little more for comfort can't hurt, no matter how big of a house you move in, it will still seem too cramped, no matter how fast the car you buy, it will still seem too slow and no matter how nice the clothes or jewellery, it will still seem paltry, pale and empty.

The happiest people are more satisfied with a meaningful fake diamond bought from the heart than a real one bought for no reason.

The happiest people find the merit in their beat-up cars and their small but cosy houses.

The happiest people don't need a bucket of money or a sea of pocket change to smile, they just need the things that fill their heart and soul and those things are almost always free.

So the next time you find yourself craving the bigger, the better and the more expensive, just remember that if something material makes you truly happy, you are already the poorest person alive.
