ALONE IN THE DARK
***************************************************************

I’ve grown so accustomed to staying up most of the night that I am finding that I cannot sleep tonight.

I spoke to someone tonight and its been playing on my mind.

This person has decided to seemingly resign themselves to being alone.

It bothers me that they have chosen to do this to themselves.

This person has a vast array of gifts to bestow upon someone and it seems a shame that they would hide away from the world.

I don’t understand why we tend to do this to ourselves.

I don’t understand why I do it.

We want to be with someone, yet we lock ourselves away.

When we do that, we can’t possibly find someone to share our lives with.

How can someone find us when we sit alone in the dark?

They can’t.

My Grandmother taught me the fine art of people watching.

I don’t understand why people must walk around with scowls on their faces.

I wonder if they realize it makes them seem cold and bitter with the world.

It also gives them an appearance of being utterly alone in life.

I look at people’s faces and study them quite a bit when I am out and about.

It’s not meant to be an intrusive act.

I do it out of pure curiosity.

I look at their faces and wonder where they’ve been in life.

I wonder what they have going on in their lives to place a permanent scowl or a constant smile on their faces.

I am a curious little bugger.

It’s amazing what you can learn, as long as you open your eyes and take in your surroundings.

What do you see when you look at people?

Why don't you come out of the darkness and take a look?

You might be surprised by what you find.
