QUOTE FOR THE DAY:
"Beauty
is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart" ***************************************************************
***************************************************************
We all come equipped with these little boxes inside of our heads. They are mounted inside next to our egos. At first glance, you would think the ego and this little box were one and the same. I suppose, in some ways, they are the same. I know. You are scratching your head wondering what the hell I am talking about. I am talking about your self-esteem, or your distorted view of yourself. This product has never made it through the assembly line unscathed, unfortunately. We receive them in
'as is' condition and in some cases, they remain in that shape until death do us part. It seems that it takes quite a bit of time and energy in the repair process. Some of us do not possess the will to try and fix it. So there it sits, distorting our views and our self-perception. I wish there was a magical way for all of us to see ourselves for the way that we really are. We all have this fucked up notion that we aren’t good enough or pretty enough or sexy enough. I have heard so many comments regarding people’s
'lack of beauty'. I am one of those people and I will readily admit to that. I am probably one of the worse when it comes to that. It makes me sad to see how little people think of themselves. I wish people could see what I see when I look at them. It’s more than just their outer beauty. I
wish they could take a step outside of themselves and look. I wish they could see the sparkle in their eye when they smile, the light that radiates from deep within their soul, the way that they express themselves and how it makes another feel. I am amazed at the people who think so little of themselves. It’s those people, who I find more times than not, to be the most beautiful people that I know. I think it’s their innocence over the beauty they hold within that lends them even more beauty in my eyes. There is something endearing when it comes to someone who had no idea the effect they have on others. How about we all see what others see in us? How about we stop in front of the mirror and tell ourselves that we are beautiful? How about we all start believing what I keep trying to tell you? Within every person, there is beauty. Every single person is beautiful. YOU are beautiful. Whether some idiot rates you a 10 or a 2 here, it doesn’t diminish what you happen to possess. The naive and shallow people believe it’s all about looks. It isn’t. It’s about what is in someone’s heart. It’s about the way they treat other people. It’s about the purity of their soul. It’s about their ability to love and their ability to share themselves unselfishly with people. It’s about the way that they care about other people. So I guess the bottom line is
this... Believe in yourself. Don’t underestimate yourself ever. Believe it.
Feel it. Know it!
